And as now all the multiplayer happens online and the characters are saved at the server end of Blizzard, you will not be able to transfer your previous online characters. Transfering Online vs Offline Characters in D2RĪlso, you need to keep in mind that this Blizzard currently only allows you to move your offline characters save files from the old Diablo 2 to the new Resurrected version. So this is the folder you have to drag and paste your old files to transfer the characters. And by any chance your D2R save file location is not on the same path as we shared, then a quick search in File Explorer with the character name you created will show the save file location. Once you create the test character, the folder will be now there in the Save File location for sure. To create the folder, you just have to start the D2R and create a test character (which you can easily delete later). If you are trying to do this before you are starting Diablo 2 Resurrected, and don’t see a folder in the save file location, don’t worry.
